Quality assurance

The resources on Lingu@net Europa have been selected by project partners or recommended by our users. They have been approved for inclusion in Lingu@net Europa by project partners according to the following set of quality assurance questions:

  1. Is the content reliable in terms of linguistic and factual accuracy?
  2. Is the site user-friendly in terms of: ease of navigation; user support (e.g. on-line help) and interface design?
  3. Is it up-to-date and (where appropriate) is there any evidence that it will be maintained and regularly up-dated in the future?
  4. Is the resource free of offensive material or links to offensive material?
  5. Is it from a recognised provider i.e. 'an acceptable source' such as:
    • international, national or regional organisations and centres supporting the teaching and learning of Modern Foreign Languages
    • publishers and broadcasters;
    • professional networks and associations;
    • other individuals and institutions involved in Modern Foreign Languages teaching and learning whose on-line resources fulfil the quality criteria above.

The resources on Lingu@net Europa have been catalogued and classified using a multilingual set of descriptors researched and developed by the project team. The set of descriptors has been defined in accordance with International Standards on metadata developed by the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI).

Lingu@net Europa is free. We invite you to make use of it, to recommend resources to be included and we welcome your feedback.
